These video images are taken from video footage shot on the yatra.
[Sony PAL MiniDV digital camcorder}. The video endured conversion from MiniDV to VHS and from PAL to NTSC video format [Sony DSR-V10P PAL DV VTR and Aiwa MX-1000 VHS Deck]. That went rather well all things considerred. Then the images were collected from video through a video digitizer [Snappy] while on freeze-frame [low-end JVC VHS deck]. The digitizing looses quite a bit of detail and can produce only lower resolution from tape. The image files are 640x480 pixels and are moderately compressed JPG files between about 40 and 85 KByte. |
